...is what you are, and what you are is beautiful.
Isn't that the BEST line? Thanks Goo Goo Dolls.
So much truth to that. Other people can make you feel beautiful, but if you don't think you are, then it doesn't even matter. People who love life, smile, love others, and make the best of their circumstances.. they are beautiful. I'm glad I have good examples of people like that in my life.
It has been the best summer! I can't believe it's September already. I know I hoped that summer would never end, but I am getting excited for boots, sweaters, hot chocolate, and fires. My friend and I were discussing the fact that there is only like 8 more pay days until Christmas. HOLY! COW! And then I went boating again on Labor Day, and realized that I will never be ready for boating to end. I seriously. love. it. We went out early and had Massacre Rocks practically to ourselves. I skied 3 times on perfect glass. We even got Taylor up on one. He had never skied before and got up on one after like 3 tries. Yaaa baby. Such a perfect day.
SO... there's been some changes in my life. Here are the updates!
I bought a cello?!
I start lessons next Thursday and I'm so excited.
I learned how to french braid. I'm 23 and never french braided before. My fingers don't work like that! But nooow they dooo..Thanks Natalie for letting me practice on you :)
Learned how to make jam! Strawberry, raspberry... we are jam making fools over here. And I realized I can't eat it very often, because the sugar content is outrageous.
I've been running. And I get to see little gems like this sight. (Do you know I LOVE ducks? Such a cool animal. They waddle, they glide on the water, they are straight up cool). Today I ran 6 miles without stopping! I felt so good afterward. Never in my entire life have I run 6 miles. Ever since junior high I've gone on running kicks where for a few months I run a lot, but never more than a few miles every day. But I've always wanted to run a half marathon, and now I've decided I'm gonna try for one. But I think I'll start with a 10k, because 6 miles was a little bit hard :)
I got bangs again. I like to grow them out for the summer, and I've loved the side swipe but it was time for a change. And I'm too chicken to cut my hair short or dye it brown or some such thing, so my bangs are the only things I'm brave enough to change. Thank you Cassie!
Over Labor Day weekend, all the out of towners were here and it made me so happy. Gracie B, Brady, Jake, and Taylor were in town and we had a great time. Why must people move away? I completely understand, but really. Stop.
