Been awhile

What a month June has been! It's been a roller coaster, but I do love roller coasters more than most things in life so I guess that's a good thing!

Remember how I was hoping everything would work out great with my boards patient? Well, it did.

...Besides the fact that he was in jail 2 days before boards and I didn't know if he'd get out on time.

Then when he did get out it was only a day later until the cops wanted him again, so I was in constant worry that they were going to show up and take him away. The fact that I was associating with a criminal was the least of my worries, really. I was just worried about not being able to take my test! But I have the best parents ever, and somebody watching out for me from above, and the cops managed to lose track of him until AFTER my test was over.

The good news is, I passed :)

Then this last week I've been in Seattle, and it was a blast. 4 of my friends and I decided to road trip up there because my friend Brad had served his mission there and wanted to go back and visit. Seattle is BEAUTIFUL! I loved every second, and it definitely helped that it was sunny every day of our trip. Last summer I visited Seattle too and it was rainy and overcast every single day. I feel like I laughed non stop for 5 days straight. We had such a good group and did some fun things. And saw some FUNNY things.
Such as this.
The driver of this truck ran out of gas. So she recruited 3 big boys to come help her push it. It must not have occurred to them to have someone steer the truck while the others pushed though, because they started all pushing it from the back and they were going down a slope so they get moving pretty darn fast. And before they knew it, the truck barreled over the curb, and disappeared down a rocky ravine!!
HILARIOUS.
We laughed hysterically for like an hour. I did feel sorry for them somewhere in my heart, but it just looked so funny disappearing over the edge and not being able to see a single part of it anymore. The people pushing it realized a few seconds before this happened that it was indeed going to happen, and they desperately clawed at the back of the truck, trying to stop it. But to no avail. Their reaction was so funny too... just total freaking out. We went and ate our dinner and came back to find the crane pulling it out of the ravine.
Icing on the cake.

We also went to a Mariners game, which was one of my favorite parts of the trip. I've always wanted to go to a profesh baseball game. It's so American! And the people we stayed with were such great hosts with a beautiful home. They taught us how to play pickle ball, which is probably my new favorite sport. It's like mini tennis and I was lovin every second of it.

And tomorrow it's off to California with the family to visit the spectacular waterfalls in Yosemite.
The month of June has been treating me just right!

  1. Blah, blah, blah my name is Jill I'll visit every state but Utah and VA and continue to just talk about how much fun I'm having avoiding the 5 most important people in my life.

5 can play this game, Rich is moving to Alaska, Harts are moving to Korea and just for good measure we'll tie Sis. Wadsworth to a tree when she tries to make it back to your warm embrace.

So glad that in your heartsick misery you are putting on such a brave optimistic front;< (that's the snarl emoticon jsyk).

  2. Jill! I'm so jealous of this trip! I love baseball games and I really like Seattle as well. I'm bummed that you guys started going on all these crazy road trips when I'm totally out of the picture!

I love reading your blog. Your voice comes out loud and clear, and I love that you are literate. Miss you! Glad everything worked out with your boards patient!

And Judson, I wish I could just 'like' everything you say.
