summma time

So I wish I had some fun pictures to share of my summer adventures, but I don't! What the heck, right? I need to do better. Everybody knows a blog post without a picture is a little dull. But here's what I've been up to lately anyway..

1. Horseback riding trip up around Palisades. 3 days of pleasure and serious adventures. Adventures included a) hitting a moose on the way there in a brand new truck b) a horse rolling down the mountain c) wearing the same clothes 3 days in a row d) watching a horse get put to sleep--yes it was sad. Not even my horse but I cried a little. 

2. Trips to Utah to hang out with some of my faves. Helped my sister paint and build all sorts of Ikea furniture, went to the farmers market with Juline, and played some golf with a fun fellow. 

3. Family reunion in Colorado Springs. Went to a huge water park, humbled some family members in ping pong :) watched Wimbledon, played games, annual girls shopping trip, and ate lots of good food.

4. Randomness, such as long prowls on the golf course at night and trying to catch crawdads in the pond, rafting the reservoir in the moonlight, tennis, the Bachelorette (don't judge me, I'm head over heels for Jef and I just can't help it) long scooter rides, Outer Limits, and boating. And let's not forget working stuck in between everything.

 I love being outside, especially last night. Did anyone else notice how absolutely perfect last night was? No wind, like 78 degrees, so many stars... it was awesome. I wish I could capture the feeling I had last night and just have that every day. Lately I've been feeling really..... restless. Like my life has reached a point where I'm in a good place except for that I'm bored. I am feeling a need to shake things up. I don't know what form shaking things up will take, but something is needed. I'll let you know when I figure it out! But for now, happy Friday. This weekend is shaping up to look like a good one!
