blog today.
I was driving home from work and had a lot on my mind. First, I am really happy. I haven't felt this happy in awhile. Life is not always easy but it feels really good when you see yourself make progress and meet goals. Agreed?
Second, the weather is b-e-a-utiful and I adore it.
Third, well this is a long one, so here we go. Whenever I clean a senior citizens' teeth, I am usually thinking one of three things. Often I am thinking...this is DISGUSTING. Other times I'm thinking how crabby the person is, and how I'm ready to be done with them. And then sometimes I think, this is the sweetest human being ever, I hope when I'm old I'm just like that.
Today I met a man well along in years who is soo happy. He was so sweet, so kind, so cute to me I could hardly stand it. I just wanted to pick him up and hug him when we got done. So on the way home I was thinking about getting old, and how short life really is. Why wouldn't I want to enjoy every second I have while I'm young, healthy, and relatively carefree? And a lifetime spent in cultivating a good attitude will likely carry into old age, when life is not so carefree and my bones ache and I take 20 zillion medications. Right?? I hope so. The moral of this story is that I am happy and I'm going to try to be until I die.
At church on Sunday our teacher said this, and I rather like it.
"Change always comes bearing gifts"
So true.
The last week in pictures....
Is it just me or is my canine extremely pointy looking in this picture??
An amazing reception followed by tromping around City Creek, watching the 10,000 meter Olympic run, a cool hike to a waterfall, watching Fiddler on the Roof in an outdoor theater, Juline, and Taco Bell on a couch in the gutter. I like Provo.

Chukars game with a group of fun people.... You know I love me a good baseball game. I actually find baseball just slightly dull, but for some reason I still fantasize about games I want to go to. It's silly really. I think baseball stadiums are kind of beautiful though. The grass is so GREEN and perfectly groomed. It rained a little last night, and then it smelt so good. And then we ate at Olive Garden on the way home... um yeah that's a night well spent.

I liked this post. :)
